# Creating projects using the "Projects" page

You can create projects in several places; here’s how to do it from the Projects page.

- Click the [Projects tab](https://track.toggl.com/projects) on the menu bar located on the left side, as shown in the screenshot below:

- Click on the “+ New Project” button in the top right corner.

- A popup window will appear allowing you to enter a project name, and get started.

> To add more details, click **Advanced Options** , where you can then add:
> 
> - Apply a [Project Template](https://community.toggl.com/t/project-templates/206)
> 
> - Select a client you wish to be associated with that project,
> 
> - Set it to [Private or Public](https://community.toggl.com/t/project-privacy-settings/114)
> 
> - [Project Start and End Date](https://community.toggl.com/t/can-i-set-start-and-end-dates-for-projects/207)
> 
> - Set the project to be [recurring](https://community.toggl.com/t/recurring-projects/150),
> 
> - Set [project estimates](https://community.toggl.com/t/project-time-estimates/208),
> 
> - Add [billable rates](https://community.toggl.com/t/billable-rates/216),
> 
> - Add a [fixed fee](https://community.toggl.com/t/fixed-fee-projects/218) rate,
> 
> - Choose which workspace this project belongs to.
> 
> - Click Create Project when done to Save.

> _Note: While Free plans can choose from 14 available Project colors, paid plans can pick any color from a HEX code color picker._
> 
> ​_A Project will not be archived or deleted on its end date. However, if it is a recurring project, it will stop doing so on the end date._
