# Don't stop timer when Pomodoro focus session ends

I tried the Pomodoro functionality of the Android app. Unfortunately I found it pretty much useless and I have to go back to a third-party app for these reasons:

1. No sound when a period ends. This kind of defeats the whole purpose of Pomodoro. How can I focus if I don’t know when to stop the session? I see this problem is already discussed [elsewhere](https://community.toggl.com/t/notification-sound-when-a-session-or-break-ends/303).
2. I have Auto-start disabled. The timer **must not** stop when focus session runs out of time. I expect the timer to continue running until I explicitly tell the app to start a break. Pomodoro timer is supposed to be a reminder, but not the decision maker on how I use my time.
