Another +1 from me. Especially with the launch of Toggl Focus, this could be my new go-to app for planning and time management. The web app works alright, but complicates the workflow and just doesn’t provide as seamless of an experience as a native Linux app could.
I’ve implemented a simple pop-os/launcher plugin that allows basic task tracking directly from the Pop!_OS launcher. It’s limited by the Toggl hourly API rate limits, so it might be a bit tight on the free tier that only has 30req/h.
For me, the simple app, just for tracking manual time and editing time entries, is enough. I don’t need autotracking. Tray icon with a state tracking/not tracking is also important for me, but I know tray icons are problematic on Linux. Maybe that simpler version would be more possible for the Toggl team. Even don’t need to be native, electron-based would still be good.
