# Toggl 2.0 Task Dates

**Task dates** are a standard functionality in all calendar applications. They allow a user to mark a task for a certain date without time blocking. How this works:

- Add a date (or dates) to your task

- Task is shown on top of the calendar

- Drag and drop the tasks to your calendar for time blocking (or don’t)

- When you mark the tasks as “done” they’re removed from their designated spots
