Post Title: Beginner: how to see total time per task?

Your Question/Topic: I am using toggl to simply track the time on different tasks I do, I do not use projects feature and I am not a part of a team.
My workflow is that I just turn on tracking and title it “Task 1”, “Task 2” etc. now I am trying to find a simple way to actually see in my summaries how much time I spend on each task (across multiple tracking sessions). I can only see how much time I spend on projects, different clients etc.

This seems like a basic funcionality to me and currently I have to manually sum up different tracking sessions together from the Reports - Detailed page.

EDIT: I have just discoved that there is a toggl feature called “Task” I am not referring to that here, I am referring to just multiple time tracking sessions with the same title.

Hi @Tomas_Tur, given the way that you are tracking time with just the description, when you go to reports, you can use Summary Reports and choose “group by time entries”

… this is an example of how it looks (no projects, tags, tasks involved) and you should get what you need.

Just a note that we do recommend grouping by at least one level (typically projects or tags) if you start to track more things, because most of the reporting start at that level. Your way of tracking is not wrong tho, it will just be very limited when using the reports :slight_smile:
