Viewing an Expense History

Need to check when an expense was submitted, who approved it, or how its status changed over time? The Expense History gives you a complete, timestamped audit trail for every expense in Toggl Work.

:light_bulb:This feature is read-only, so you can trust it as an accurate record of what happened and when.


How to view the expense history

  1. Start by opening the “Expenses” view and select the expense you want to check.

  2. After that, click on the expense you wish to open and you’ll see its detailed view.

  3. Once there, in the top-right corner, select the “ ⋮ “ (three dots) menu and choose “Expense History.”

You’ll see a timeline of events, with each entry showing who made the change and when it happened.

  • Admin B approved this expense on Jun 12, 2025, 19:03
