It takes several clicks to start timing a new task:

  • Add the task: Projects → Project → Add Task → Enter name, hit Enter
  • Go back to the timer and search for the new task

Please make it easier to start timing a new task under a project, with similar ease of use as creating a new project.

Thanks for sharing this feedback. I understand the workflow feels a bit cumbersome when you want to create a new task and immediately start timing it.

Currently, the process does require those steps you’ve outlined. While this isn’t something I can change directly, I appreciate you pointing out that creating and timing a new task could be more streamlined compared to creating a project.

This is a great idea for improving the user experience, and I’ll make sure the product team sees this feedback about making task creation more efficient.
