Previously Deactivated User, Now Reactivated But Not In Workspace :/

Hi Toggl Community,

I deactivated one of my users instead of deleting them, however when I re-activated them, they are unable to see my workspace. They are set up in their own individual workspace… How do they re-join mine? From the admin panel on my end, I see they are a part of mine, but on their end, they do not have an option to join.

Here’s what likely happened:

  • When you deactivated the user, Toggl Track ensured their account still had a default workspace. If they didn’t already have another workspace, a new one was created for them (along with a parent organization). If they did have another workspace, that workspace likely became their default.
  • Now that the user is reactivated, they’re automatically landing in their default workspace when they log in. This workspace isn’t the one you reactivated them in, which is why they can’t see your workspace’s data (projects, clients, etc.) by default.

Here’s how they can switch between workspaces, and how they can change which one is the default to avoid switching every time they log in:
