Request: click on any Report or Project row to view its entries

I was nervous since the Report dashboard is so key to my monthly invoicing workflow (I have a few clients with special rates, arrangements, or retainers) but so far have been floored by how nice and customizable the new Reporting tools are.

One frequent painpoint, but hopefully implementable feature I would love and use heavily would be clicking on any row in a Table I’ve set up, to quickly view all entries contributing to that row.

This could either open a new filtered report, or be a third and final level of disclosure arrows, showing all the individual time entries which roll up to the table row in question.

For example, I have a Table set up in one of my reports which groups by Project then Member. When something seems surprising or off I have no quick way to view (and possibly edit) all the entries which contribute to that Report row.

This would also be super helpful in the Projects view, by the way! Especially since the Projects dashboard shows total hours, it’s frustrating there’s no way to jump right to a filtered Report view of entries under that project.

Heya! Thanks for reaching out  To get some clarity on your request: you’d optimally like the system to open a sub-report when clicking on a second-level categorization. Using your example, you initially group results by project, then member. When you’d like a new report screen to be generated is when you click on a member to view a more “drilled-down” report, correct?
