Hi,
I searched for a similar issue but sadly I couldn’t find an answer to my problem.
My time entries seem missaligned.
When I start to track anything toggl starts the timer one hour ahead. Where I live we recently switched from summer to winter time. I thought the software might be confused because of this but changing the timezone doesn’t help with the issue. It still starts the timer one hour ahead.
Weirdly it also messes with my planned google calender entries. I have one event that toggl pushed one hour in the future but everything else is where it belongs. When I look into my Google calender the one event Toggl pushed is where I put it and not one hour in the future.
I honestly don’t know how I could fix it and what could be wrong. Hopefully you ppl know what to do.
This does sound like a timezone mismatch after your region’s daylight saving time change. Here are a few things worth checking:
First, go to Settings → Preferences → Time Preferences and confirm your account timezone is set to the correct zone for your current (winter) time. It’s worth double-checking even if you’ve already changed it, since the app uses this setting to decide where day boundaries fall and how new entries are displayed.
One thing to keep in mind: changing your account timezone does not retroactively adjust any entries you’ve already tracked. Those keep the timezone they were logged in. So entries made before you changed the setting will still appear offset, but new ones should fall at the right time once the timezone is correct.
The Google Calendar situation is a bit harder to explain without more detail, but if Toggl is reading your calendar events and displaying them shifted, it’s likely the same root cause - one timezone setting somewhere doesn’t match the others. It may be worth checking whether your Google Calendar itself is set to the correct timezone after the DST transition, since that can affect how events are handed off to other apps.
