Hi there!
I am having an issue with your web experience on tablet. I’m using a tablet in portrait next to my computer to help me easily keep track of my project. The Toggl App doesn’t work at all on my tablet - (amazon Fire HD 10 - 13th Gen) so I’ve been using the web browser. The web experience is horrible.
As a front end web developer myself, please, pretty please fix this!! It’s super frustrating to use.
- zooming in and out (pinch) for better accuracy with touch has unexpected results
- daily calendar scroll down the timer at the top scrolls with instead of being sticky at the top.
- Some views the tables are so squished their unreadable or usable so I end up having to log in on the computer to see the data.
Honestly there is quite a bit more – if you just had someone from the Toggl team QA test it for a bit, you’d see all the strange issues. I can’t be the only one who likes to have a separate tablet screen as the timer - or if desktop users squish their toggl tab to the side of their screen - I don’t know if the app fixes these issues - but it would be great if one of these could be fixed.

@Candace_Morgan thanks for posting
Can you please elaborate a bit more on this part? What happens when you try to use the native Track app for Android?
We are aware that the browser experience on a mobile device is suboptimal, which is why we normally suggest using the Android/iOS app instead.
Unfortunately I don’t have another tablet - just the Amazon Fire and I have some visual issues where I need a larger screen than my phone to be able to use for my timer. I did put a review in for the Toggl Time Tracker app from the Amazon store that it won’t connect with the Toggl servers to allow me to login. So that’s the issue I’m having with the app - it won’t even allow a sign in. I want to go to your paid plan, but I need this to work on my device. I just re-downloaded the Toggl Time Tracker app and now it’s giving me a notice that “This app was built for an older version of Android and may not work properly. Try checking for updates or contact the developer.”
Edit: I should note that the app works fine on my Google Pixel, the screen is just not large enough for my daily timing use.
Gotcha; thank you for that, Candace! I reached out to you via DM, wasn’t able to reproduce the login issue with the Android app so I’d like more info from you and have our devs investigate.
That’s interesting
Hi Candace! I’m continuing the conversation with you through DM so I’ll start closing this thread out, but for future Togglers searching for information on this, I wanted to share the following:
Currently, Toggl’s mobile apps ONLY cover iOS and Android users; at this time we don’t have or officially support any Amazon App Store release.
As for improving the experience on web for mobile users: we are currently focused on providing the mobile app as the primary experience for mobile users, but we’re always looking for ways to improve and will be sharing this with our Product team for their consideration!
