BUG: "Chat with support" button does not work on any browser/platform

I tried chatting with support to get some advice on a few issues I’m having. This button does not work. I tried MS Edge, Chrome, and Firefox on both Linux and Mac. Also tried Edge on iOS. One of my colleagues said it works for them.

Hello! This should be available for you; can you clear your browser cache and cookies and ensure you’re allowing cookies so the widget can appear?

I tried clearing cookies/cache and it still doesn’t work. When I tried yesterday, I had to install Chrome and Firefox to test those and they didn’t work either (even on a fresh install).

When I had developer tools open while refreshing the page, I noticed a bunch of errors. Are any of the errors in the attached screenshot related to this issue?

Ooooh that may be  Let’s have you open Toggl in Incognito, approve all cookies, and let me know if that makes a difference.

When I try it in incognito mode, I get the popup below about the cookie banner.

When I click on the button, I don’t get a cookie banner though and the chat window doesn’t appear.

I’ve tried clearing all cookies/state in my non-incognito mode but don’t even get this far.

It sounds like something may be blocking the cookie banner from appearing properly. Since you’re getting the popup message about the cookie banner in incognito mode but the banner itself isn’t showing up, and the chat window won’t open, it’s possible you have:

  • A browser extension (even in regular mode) that’s blocking cookie banners or pop-ups
  • Security software or privacy settings that’s preventing the banner from displaying
  • Network-level blocking (firewall, VPN, or corporate security policies)

Could you try:

  1. Disabling any ad blockers, privacy extensions, or cookie-blocking extensions you have installed
  2. Checking if you have any security software that might be blocking cookie banners
  3. If you’re on a work/corporate network, checking if there are any network-level restrictions

Let me know if any of those help, and we can troubleshoot further from there!

It doesn’t work for me either, and I am pretty sure it’s not VPN or cookie-blocking extensions.

It also doesn’t appear for me, on Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. Tried clearing the cache. Tried incognito mode. The chat bubble doesn’t appear under any conditions. I wanted to contact the company about pricing for a paid plan - I work for a nonprofit and we wanted to know what the advertised nonprofit discount is. I guess I’ll have to go with a competitor because I have no way of getting a quote from the company. It’s too bad - I would prefer to use a tool that I’m already familiar with, since I’ve been using the free version for a while now.

Hi Keegan,

Can you tell me which page you are on and do you see a Chat with Support option under the ? icon in the sidebar?

Was this resolved? The “Chat with support” button is not working for me, either.

Hi Curtis: can you share what page you’re currently trying to access the Chat option on, as well as verifying if you’re trying to access this on your main workspace?

I also cannot see any chat support option when logged into Toggl

same here, multiple browsers and at least 1 browser has never browsed toggl.com before

Windows 11 + Edge.

I’m logged into Toggl.
In the bottom left I have the option to chat, but nothing is launched, however the link to community works. Is this by design > to drive traffic to community before chatting with support? The thing is what if I want to chat to support?

I have the same issue as Duane_Stav. Windows 11 + Chrome.
“Go to community works” but “Chat with support does not”.

When I clicked “Chat with support”, the Cookies bar popped up. I accepted the Statistics and it disappeared. But when I try click chat again, nothing happens.
