When typing text to create a new timer entry, the autocomplete used to list all the matching entries from the recent history. At some point in the past (not sure when exactly, it may have been with the introduction of the ‘new look’ timer page), this has stopped working and all I get now is entries from the current week.
If I go back a couple of weeks then those additional entries do get loaded and are then included into the suggestions.
The upshot is that now whenever I need to start logging time to an entry from the past weeks I first have to go find which week that was, find the time entry, and click continue, instead of just typing the first few letters of the entry’s topic. This is far form ideal.
I realize this was probably done to reduce server load, but maybe a compromise where the entries from the past 3 months are loaded is possible?
I remember seeing the “All dates” option before and it was greyed out, but now it’s actually completely gone - see screenshot below.
However even if it were available, that wouldn’t address the issue described, the point I was making was that the autocomplete list should be pre-populated based on a longer time frame, decoupled from whatever time interval is selected in the timer view. I am aware that bringing more days into view - either by going back a few weeks or using the ‘All dates’ as you suggest will help populate the autocomplete list with additional entries.
