I’m a FREE Toggl user. I do not use API or Webhooks.
Yet, I received an email about the upcoming API and webhook limits and in the email it states “We’re reaching out because your usage limits were exceeded at least once in the past two months. To stay within the new limits, you may need to adjust your usage or consider upgrading.”
The message goes on to suggest that I check my usage - but doesn’t show me how to do that.
What does this mean? Since I don’t use either of these, how could I exceed their limits? Or did everyone get this message in the announcement of what’s changing?
I’m on a paid plan, and while I do use the API, there doesn’t seem to be a way to see how I hit that limit other than “wait until the limits go into effect and see what breaks.” Also wondering if I actually hit a limit, or if these emails just went out to everyone.
You could be exceeding API limits for the Free plan if you are using Zapier, Make, Timery or another 3rd party app that frequently calls our API. In that case, it’s best to review your configuration with such a tool and set delaus if needed. The limits are per user per hour:
I’ll make sure to post it as a pinned post in the community. You will be able to see current usage vs limit per hour on the Profile page (for each organization/workspace you belong to separately)
The hourly count starts with the first request and the hourly limits change based on subscription plan. The count will refresh on every page visit (or page refresh).
