I have the same trouble, I use a Stream Deck to switch between tasks, but for some reason, switching between 2-3 task uses up the 30/hour quota almost instantly.
For example right now with the click of a button - to stop one task and start another - I used up 1 organization and 16 user specific requests quota, then without touching it a few seconds later it’s already at 21.
These new limits just make it almost impossible to use Toggl on any other way than their own platform. And at this rate of API usage I don’t even think the paid plan limits would be enough.
Agreed. Not all of us are using intricate integrations but just want our damn Raycast extension to work correctly without hitting limits. At least up the limits. I am giving you money after all.
Should I keep coming back to mention this when I hit a limit? Just did again today. Nothing different, just switched tasks and clients around as I worked.
Same here. I’m not even close to being a power user of Toggl, but it was a useful tool for me to track time. At this stage though, I find it unusable and will need to find an alternative.
Even if they’d said “we’re blocking API usage for free users”, but left it unlimited for paid users, I might’ve subscribed, but when I hear that even paid users are having issues with overzealous usage, I don’t think it’s worth it anymore!
It’s a shame, because it was a great product until this happened.
