@MargieRemmersDavis the best way to do that is to enable auto-start for session and break periods. This means that you will hear a chime for a break starting when your session ends, getting you to what you need - knowing when to stop and take a break
This seems like a huge oversight, and has feature requests for desktop and mobile.

I’ve downloaded the Android app, and so far I love it, except for one thing. I can’t find a way to get a notification sound when a session or break ends. Without that I will routinely not realize that it’s time to stop or start working. I don’t want to keep having to pull my phone out of my pocket to see how much time is left.
