Is there a keyboard shortcut for ending the current task and starting a new one in Toggl 2.0?

This seems like a pretty basic capability that existed in Toggl Track, but now is seemingly absent and requires a mouse click in Toggl 2.0. Or at least, I can’t find it!

There isn’t a single shortcut to stop the current task and immediately start a new one in one keystroke, but you can do it with two quick shortcuts:

  • Press S to stop time tracking on the current task
  • Press A (while in Inbox or Calendar view) to create a new task inline, then S again to start tracking it

You can also press ? at any time inside Toggl 2.0 to see the full shortcut list in the app, which is handy for discovering anything you might have missed.
