Hi everyone!
I’ve been using Toggl Track for a while to track work/study sessions, and one thing that always felt a bit inefficient was having to unlock my phone and open the app just to check my running timers.
I couldn’t find a way to display my active timers on the lock screen, so I ended up building a small widget which does so.
Right now I’m mainly trying to figure out if this would actually be useful for other Toggl users or if there are better workflows people use.
That sounds like a useful workflow improvement you’ve created! Currently, Toggl Track doesn’t have a built-in lock screen widget feature, so displaying active timers directly on your lock screen isn’t possible within the app itself.
Your solution of building a widget is a great workaround for this. If you’re interested in seeing lock screen timer functionality built into Toggl Track itself, that’s valuable feedback. The product team is always looking to understand what features would make time tracking more convenient for users.
In the meantime, you might also consider using the Toggl Track mobile app’s home screen to quickly access your timers, or setting up favorites for your most frequently tracked projects to speed up starting new time entries.
