That’s a good observation about workflow efficiency. Currently, Toggl doesn’t have the ability to set a persistent default filter preference for Project Tasks - the default remains “Show All” each time you view your tasks.
However, you can manually filter to show only active tasks whenever you’re viewing your project. While this isn’t a permanent default setting, filtering to “Show Active” will display only the tasks you’re currently working on and hide completed ones, which should help reduce the clutter on your screen.

I’m aware of the non-permanent nature of the Task filter settings (Active, Done, All). The issue for me is that the default is “All”, which I don’t think is useful to most users, especially as one’s list of complete tasks grows.
