Post Title: Creating a pivot table of date x tag
Your Question/Topic: I track my time by project (internal customer) and tag (type of work performed) so that I can create reports based on both. It is easy for me to create a pivot table of days x project to show my time distribution for the week, but I can’t report on days x tag. I can break out tags for a single time period (e.g. today’s time) but not in a pivot table. I discovered I could do something similar if I used tasks instead of tags, but that would require creating identically named tasks for each project, and I’d have to bump my subscription up to a higher level to group tasks across projects.
I’m guessing this capability has been intentionally left out of the Starter plan, given that I could (sort of) accomplish what I want to at a higher subscription level. If I’m just missing something, I’d love to know how to create a pivot table like this. I do know I could export to Excel and create the table there—I’d just prefer to do this natively if possible, since it will be a report I run often.
