As of earlier today or possibly yesterday, Favorites were buttons below “what are you working on” similar to how they still appear in the mobile app. They are now a drop-down box which I didn’t even see until blindly flailing around on the page looking for where my buttons went. I have these colour coded and alphabetically organized and now they’re all just in any old mix in a weird, unintuitive dropdown. Please bring the buttons back asap! I use them constantly throughout the day.
Yes, PLEASE give us an option for the buttons across the top the way they were. You added unnecessary clicks having to open the side bar, then favorites then select your favorite. The point is for it to be faster/more efficient. This is not either of those.
Additionally, when using the new drop-down menu used to select a favorite, it fails with an error when the favorite includes both a project and a tag. The error is: Unexpected “tags” type number, offset=92. Everything worked fine for several years until this morning.
Yes! Why in the world would I want favourites down a sidebar.. so many more clicks making them a useless feature.
Seconding this!! Way less intuitive now, and like the OP, I thought they were just gone, until I found this post.
I am curious as to what design problem they thought they were solving when they made this change. Do you know if anyone who works there comments in these threads? If I knew what they thought they were fixing by doing this, I might be willing to adjust my work habits if it’s actually an improvement for some reason.
However, I also concur with everyone else here who has said that this was not an improvement to the UI. Something that I don’t think has been mentioned yet is that the beauty of a time management app is when a person can interact with it as little as possible so they can get back to working on the thing that actually makes them money and not the accounting around it. Why artificially increase that time?
