Show duration of empty gaps when hovering (Calendar tab)

Hi,

Sometimes we didn’t track our time for a moment and we would like to know how much time was not tracked. In the desktop tool, when going to the Calendar tab, untracked time is identified with a dotted-line “+” block, but we do not know its length (in minutes). We need to click on it - which creates a time entry - look at the duration and then delete the entry.

This would be much simpler if - for example - in the “add time entry to this gap” tooltip appearing when hovering the gap’s duration would be shown.

Thanks to consider this simple improvement that would help us!

That’s a great idea for improving the workflow. You’re right that it would be more efficient to see the duration of untracked time gaps without having to create and delete an entry just to check the length.

Unfortunately, this feature is not currently available in Toggl. The dotted-line gaps in the Calendar view don’t display their duration on hover or in any other way at the moment.

Your suggestion to show the gap duration in the tooltip when hovering is a smart improvement that would save time. I’ll share this feedback with the product team for consideration.

In the meantime, the workaround you’ve found is the available option, though I understand it’s not ideal.
