Timer randomly stops and jumps to 20 min

Timer randomly stops and jumps to 20 min

A while ago I set up the Pomodoro settings but soon after, decided to turn them off. Since then, my timer stops itself in two ways. Firstly, after I first start the timer running, it stops after anything from a few seconds to about a minute, and automatically makes that time entry 20 minutes, ending in the future. Secondly, once it has been running for 20 minutes, it sometimes stops. I don’t want it to do either of these things. It does at least make a sound so I know it has happened, but I keep having to edit time entries or restart the timer when I’m in the middle of something.

I have been through the settings multiple times and all the auto things are turned off. I have deleted and reinstalled the app and it still does it. Is this a bug?

Edit to add: I am using the Mac desktop app.

I have the same issue. Also on a Mac. And I already lost track of pretty decent amount of time…

Just had the same one today. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I’ve got a similar problem on a Mac that started 2 days ago. I didn’t change any settings, so it looks like a bug after a new update.

When tracking with my desktop/browser, the timer automatically stops at 20 minutes. Different from the OP, mine doesn’t round up to 20 minutes if I stop before the 20-minute mark.

I also have the Toggl Track app on, which started to also stop at the 20-minute mark, with a chime sound. It also chimes whenever I start tracking. I’ve never set this up, and I can’t find a way to mute it.

I’ve contacted support and am still waiting for their response, but the AI agent also suggested asking in the community forum.

I’d be grateful if anyone can share how they’ve fixed this!

So, everyone, I made some changes that - so far - seem to be working. The main issue is that I had to change configs across multiple interfaces. Maybe you can try it:
1 - On my Toggl Desktop App (Windows version), I clicked on ‘Settings > Preferences > Pomodoro’ and turned ON the ‘Show Pomodoro Tab’ option.
2 - This enabled the Pomodoro tab on my Chrome extension (yeah, weird). So I clicked on the chrome extension icon and then on ‘Open settings’. On the left sidebar, there’s a Pomodoro option now.
3 - In here I had the ‘Enable Pomodoro’ option on, and the Focus Session Duration was set to 20 minutes (this was not set in any other interface). I turned it off, and the 20 minutes issues stopped - so far.
You guys try that and let me know what happens.

Thanks @Alan_Fontoura. Disabling Pomodoro in the “Extension options” of the Toggl Track browser extension works for me. This is what support suggested me to do, as well.
