Toggl Track's "Record Activity" started logging into the future?

Post Title: How to report what seems like a bug-Toggl Tracker’s “Record Activity” started logging into the future

Your Question/Topic: I use the Toggl Track app on Windows 11 all day long to track my time against projects & tags. I often forget to start or stop it, so I rely heavily on the Record Activity feature to see what I was doing (it’s the vertical bar on the left in the calendar view when that feature is on via the 3-dot menu in the calendar view). I noticed yesterday (7/15) that the bar filled up all the way to midnight, even though it was quite early. Hovering over it shows no future times, yet it is showing in the future. The image attached shows that even though it is only 9:30pm, the bar on the left is showing it has activity recorded well past that.

Is anyone else seeing this? How do I report this other than “feedback” or is that the best way?

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing that screenshot and such a clear description of what you’re seeing!

This does sound like a display bug with the Record Activity bar in the calendar view. Since the hover details aren’t showing any future activity entries, it appears to be a visual rendering issue rather than actual data being recorded in the future.

A few things worth trying in the meantime:

Restarting the Toggl Track Windows app may clear up the visual glitch if it is related to a display rendering issue.

Checking your system clock on Windows 11 is also worth a quick look, since sometimes a mismatch between the system time and timezone settings can cause unexpected display behavior in time tracking apps.

You can also check your timezone settings within Toggl Track itself under your profile settings, to make sure it matches your current location.

As for reporting it, the in-app feedback option you mentioned is a perfectly valid way to flag it, and it does reach the team. You can also log it via the Toggl Track website if you prefer. Including the screenshot you have here would be very helpful for the team to investigate.

It would also be useful to know if this persists after restarting the app, or if it appears on specific days only, as that kind of detail helps narrow down the cause.
