Why is there only one week range now? It used to be infinite. IT IS DISGUSTANG
it is a ridiculous change
Profoundly stupid change. They clearly didn’t do any user testing. You can manually change the time period shown but it doesn’t “remember” so you have to reset the time period every single time you go to the page.
This change completely knocks me off my axis, too, Toggl please revert it.
30 minutes later: I realize my post was not helpful but honestly, when this showed up last week, I thought it was a bug.
The vast majority of tasks I work on take longer than a week, often longer than a month. The tasks have an issue number and a lengthy description, which I need when it comes time to invoicing, and it has been trivial to simply click on a previous week’s entry in the timer to get to work on a long task. The only thing I had to worry about was updating the invoice tag when a new month rolled over. It’s always been a little annoying to have to look into the reports section to restart a task that hasn’t been touched in a while but with this change it seems that it’s going to be required much more frequently; even at the beginning of every new week for current tasks.
I just want to make it clear that I feel the same way as all of you. I don’t think there’s a worse change than this. Please, don’t touch what works. Give us back the options we had before.
Same, most of my projects are multi-year contracts and grants, and the nature of my work means I’m usually on several projects and multiple tasks within projects, so being able to scroll through my entries (I rely on the list view and usually have more detail in them that are helpful for referencing what I was doing or being able to tally time for specific tasks within a bigger task) is such a huge part of why toggl helps me. On top of that, our pay periods are bimonthly, which means that a pay period can start on any day of the week and it varies from pay period to pay period. This is super annoying.
Yes, this is a completely stupid change.
If Toggl had a decent, usable search this change would still be terrible but at least you could search for prior entries and but the way it is now it’s just terrible.
