My existing projects aren’t in there. I simply don’t have time to add them. Is there a way to import them from Toggl track? Otherwise it’s looks like it could be a really useful tool
just tried the new toggl and found that when setting up the work time in setting, the dropdown are a mees. who thought of putting every single minute in there! also we no longer have a Queens birthday it is now Kings Birthday. do not add up the days to create the total work week, as my week varies, so i would like to be able to enter 06:30 to 15:00 with a total of 37:30, so then that allow me to take a lunch break when ever i want, not forcing me to enter two separate time blocks. You need to have 2 different “English” setting one for English UK and one for English US, as currently you are mixing them up.
you guys keep reminding me why I am consistently applying to join Toggl. Brilliant step forward. In deed the product still need few more features to make it my only tab to use to even plan my work life, but I wanted to see that exact thing years ago.
I have been using toggle for many many years. Thanks for Launching that
Hey @Belal, thanks so much for your feedback! Could you share what would make it the only tab you’d use to plan your work life? What’s missing for you?
Hey @SteveHaywood, thanks so much for your feedback! Great point about the dropdown – I’ve passed it on to the team! The team is also looking into improving English (UK) and English (US) calendars – we are very sorry for this issue!
Regarding your point about work hours – do I understand correctly that you’d like to be able to set a daily start and end time (e.g., 06:30–15:00) and then enter your total weekly hours manually (e.g., 37:30), instead of having the system calculate it from daily totals? Could you expand a bit? Thank you!
Yes, my days are never really a set to 6:30-11:30 and then 12:30-15:00, I could work 8.5 hours one day and then 6 the next, so my work time is very flexible, but the next week it could be totally different. Also as I take my lunch break anytime I like around 11:00 to 1:30, and this could vary in length depending upon my day, and I may also take a break mid morning or later afternoon and having to put all the extra splits to account for this would be unworkable. I would prefer to enter 37:30 for the week and not be restricted to certain hours each day. I suppose it depends on how people work, if I had a 9-5 job then this could possibly work, but with the flexible times I work, it would not.
Thank you @SteveHaywood! If you go to Tool Settings (bottom left) → Work Hours, you can set your total weekly hours without specifying exact hours for each day. Would this work for you?
On first click it seams that it add an empty task, and after that i have to click on the folder again and select project. That will add alot of “New task” everywhere? Also, i cannot add a description? (guess that feature will come later?)
Thanks for that, maybe that could work, but my change from 40:00 to 37:30 is not saved. When I drop out of the dialog and come back, it is reset to 40:00 again.
Hey @Tobias , indeed, in Focus, all time entries are related to a task. You can add multiple time entries to the same task. Or you can choose to create a new task each time you add a time entry. If that task is pre-created and has a project attached, the time entry created will also inherit that. A task name can be used as what was previously a time entry description in Toggl Track. Or if you are after notes, you can simply choose the same task, and add notes under Focus view per each time entry you have created. Let me know if you have further questions and thanks again for your feedback!
I probably have to think in another way how i report my time in Focus compared to Track.
Will there be Tags in Focus as in Track? So i can filter on tags in the reports?
I noticed the recent import of Track, which is super useful, but would like to be able to export reports from Focus, or alternatively import tracked tasks from Focus to Track to export. Is there a way to do this yet? I can’t really use Focus until i can export the data to csv.
I see the feature there to import data and it totally imported my time tracked from Toggl Track. My tasks from Toggl Plan did not get imported though even though I got the success message. Can you confirm whether it should be working yet or not?
