Hi
I’d like to be able to set a daily/weekly/monthly limit on certain clients. eg 2 hours per day, 10 hours per week, 40 hours per month, and somehow get a report on time and alerts if the time goes over (I’d still like to be able to go over the limit, but be notified of the excess time)
Is this possible and can you advise on best way to achieve this and be notified of limits for a range of clients?
Can current time used on a client be displayed
Many thanks
Ben
Hi Ben,
Setting daily, weekly, or monthly limits on client hours with automatic alerts is not currently possible in Toggl. However, there are some workarounds you can use to monitor your time:
You can use the reporting features in Toggl to track time spent on specific clients. The Analytics section allows you to create custom dashboards and reports that let you see how much time has been logged for each client. While this doesn’t give you automatic alerts, you can regularly review these reports to check if you’re approaching your target hours.
You could also set up project time estimates, which give you a visual way to see progress against a target, though this works at the project level rather than the client level.
For tracking current time used on a client, you can view this information in your reports and dashboard by filtering by client to see cumulative hours spent.
To get automatic alerts when you exceed certain thresholds for specific clients would require a more automated solution than Toggl currently offers, but the reporting tools should help you monitor your client hours manually.
