API Rate limit reset

I have a paid Standard account and I think I will hit the new rate limits of the API from time to time.
Since I run a cronjob every hour, I would like to know, when the hourly rate limits reset.

Is it like every hour OR one hour after my last request?

Since my app will send the time entries every hour at 5 minutes after the full hour, I hope the reset already happened.

Ever since that announcement came out we got a lot of feedback and bumpted up the limits a bit, the new limits are:

  • Free plan users will remain at 30 requests per-hour
  • Starter plan users will be able to use 240 requests per-hour
  • Premium plan users will be able to use 600 requests per-hour

The hour window is a rolling hour, so 1h starts with the first request when these limits get implemented. Also, I must point out that we have delayed implementing the limits so users have more time to prepare. The new date for these limits going live is September 5th.
