Before you try any of these solutions, it is crucial to check if you have any unsynced time entries. Attempting these steps with unsynced data will cause that data to be permanently lost.
If you have unsynced entries, please do not proceed. Just reply to this message, and we will assist you directly.
For our macOS Desktop App
If you have confirmed you have no unsynced data, here are two ways to fix the issue:
Solution 1: Simple Reinstall Simply delete the app from your Mac and then reinstall it from the App Store.
Solution 2: Delete Specific Database Files If a reinstall doesn’t work, this more technical method should resolve the issue.
-
Open the Terminal app on your Mac.
-
Copy and paste the following command exactly as it appears here, and then press Return:
open ~/Library/Group\ Containers/B227VTMZ94.group.com.toggl.daneel.extensions
-
A folder will open in Finder. Open the Production folder inside it.
-
Locate and delete the file named
databasemodel.sqlite
. -
Once deleted, you can close the folder and open our app again.
For our iOS App (iPhone/iPad)
For users on the iOS Tahoma beta, please try deleting the app from your device and then reinstalling it from the App Store.
