Favorites in the browser extension — or am I missing something?

Hi Toggl team,

First — it’s possible this already exists and I just haven’t
found it. If so, please point me at it and ignore the rest.

Favorites are the reason my tracking is consistent at all. But
as far as I can tell they only live in the webapp and the mobile
apps. I can’t find them anywhere in the browser extension.

The extension is the fastest thing I have — one click from
whatever tab I’m in. To start a Favorite I have to leave what
I’m doing, open the webapp, click, come back. That’s the
opposite of what Favorites are for, and it’s the reason I end up
not tracking things I should.

If it genuinely isn’t there: please add it. Same list, same
number-key shortcuts. Even 3-5 slots would cover almost
everything I track. Nothing new needs designing — it’s built,
it already syncs between webapp and mobile, it’s just missing
from the one place I actually work from.

Been wanting this for a long time.

That’s a great idea, and I can confirm that Favorites in the browser extension is not currently available. The context I have doesn’t indicate any way to access or use Favorites from within the browser extension itself. I’ll make sure to share this feedback with the product team.

In the meantime, the closest workaround available in the browser extension is using the recent time entries list, which lets you quickly restart something you’ve tracked before without leaving your current tab. It’s not the same as a curated Favorites list, but it can reduce the need to jump to the webapp for commonly tracked entries.
