Hi,
I’ve been using Toggl Track for a few weeks and love it so far. I track my time manually, and have it set this way on my Mac application. I just want to enter 30min or 1hr, etc. When I do, Toggle adds a random time frame to the entry. So if I view this in calendar view, it’s almost always duplicated since they’re at the same time. I noticed that Toggle on the web behaves differently and I can enter the time manually, but the time frame adjusts to current time. Is there a way to set this on the Mac app?
Thanks,
Hi there! Thanks for using Toggl Track.
When you’re entering time manually in the Mac app, you should be able to specify both the duration and the exact time you want the entry to start. If you’re just entering a duration like “30min” or “1hr”, Toggl will set the start time based on when you create the entry.
To avoid duplicates and ensure your manual entries are recorded at the correct time, try entering the time in a format that includes both the duration and start time. For example, you could enter something like “2:30pm 1hr” to create a one-hour entry starting at 2:30pm.
If the Mac app is still adding unexpected time frames or behaving differently than the web version when you enter manual times, double-check how you’re formatting your input and whether there are any default settings affecting new entries.
Hi,
Thanks for the tip! The issue is the Mac app is not always updating the time. How can I refresh this prior to time entry?
