Time Tracking: End Time Not Entering Correctly

Hi Toggl Community,

I’ve been a long-time user of Toggl—going on 14 years now—and I’ve generally had a great experience. However, I’m running into an issue this week that I haven’t seen before and was wondering if anyone else has encountered it or has suggestions.

The issue:
When I enter a time entry manually, I typically set both the start and end times. This week, every time I enter the end time manually and hit “Enter”, Toggl seems to overwrite it with a random or incorrect time. It doesn’t preserve the time I input—it just changes it arbitrarily.

This is part of my regular workflow, and nothing about how I use the platform has changed. I’ve tested this across multiple entries and it’s consistent. I’m using the web app (Chrome, if that helps), and I’ve also cleared cache/cookies with no improvement.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

  • Is this a known bug or recent update?
  • Any workarounds or fixes?

Appreciate any insights! Happy to provide screen recordings or additional info if it helps the Toggl team reproduce.

Hello! Just to make sure: does this issue persist if you forgo using the enter key and instead manually click on the plus icon to enter the time?

Ditto here. Been going on about 10 years now and think this has recently changed.

If you do a manual time entry, the stop time isn’t saved but just keeps the auto filled one. Even if I click away from the box and then try and save.

Chrome, no changes in plugins, think it changed 2 days ago

@LittleDog @Floris_Wolswijk thanks for bringing this to our attention. Our team is looking into it now. We will post an update here as soon as we know more.

If I manually click the plus icon, it is fine, and there is no issue. But that is a generally time consuming step that is not as efficient as just hitting enter.
