I was a bit surprised not to find any content about migrating from Harvest and wondered if it is possible (as a solo freelancer) or if anyone has gone through the process.
Mainly I wondered if it is possible to:
- Export all the data from Harvest and import it into Toggl
- I imagine the importing would generally be about carefully importing clients first, then the project list, then all the time reports
- Is there any way to import invoice history?
- Create free-form invoices when not based on specific time requests
- Have invoice reminders sent to the client automatically when past payment deadline
Looking at the overall process for this I can imagine why a lot of people might just end up being forced to stay with the system they’ve already used as the historical data is quite important and not being able to bring it over would mean having to stay.
Would really love to hear if anyone had any ideas or went through the process themselves!
