Project color in dark mode

When I set a custom color for the project in dark mode, the text of the color will appear way lighter than it was assigned. I know it is to accustom the dark background but can we get how the color is shifted so I can adjust the colors more precisely?

That’s a fair point, and it makes sense that you’d want more control over how your project colors appear in dark mode. Being able to see the exact color shift would definitely help with fine-tuning your choices.

This level of detail about the color adjustment logic is not currently available in Toggl, so there isn’t a way to get that information to calibrate your colors more precisely. As a workaround, you could experiment by testing different shades of your desired color until you find one that looks right in dark mode, essentially adjusting manually by trial and error.

This is a great idea though, and I’ll make sure to pass this feedback along to the product team.

I am not even going to acknowledge the AI response. I found that in dark mode, the colour label will be lightened if the lightness (L in HSL) is below 50. That seems restrictive. I wish the palette could be widened.
