Sync issues between toggl track and plan using Chrome

Toggl Track and Plan not syncing properly

Hi, I’ve used Toggl Track (free plan) for a while with no issues, and yesterday signed up for a Starter subscription to use Toggl Plan. I am using both within Chrome.

Within the Apps & Integration Setting in Toggl Plan, I had integration switched on, linked my workspace and set all three sync settings to on.

I spent a lot of time creating projects with timelines, segments and tasks, adding estimated time to projects, reassigning toggl track entries from the past couple of months to my newly organised projects, then deleting old projects.

Halfway through doing this, it didn’t seem to be syncing, so I went back into the Toggl Plan settings and noticed that ‘Sync tasks’ had changed back to ‘do not sync’. So I switched ‘integration’ off and on again and turned ‘Sync tasks’ back on.

This morning I just opened Toggl Track and Plan, and all the old projects that I deleted have reappeared in both Track and Plan, some of my project time estimates have disappeared, and ‘Sync Tasks’ has once again switched off by itself.

Another issue that I ran into is that for some of my newly-created projects, if I go into Progress within Plan and click through into the Report, it will show me a whole bunch of time entries within Toggl Track. However, if I go to the Projects list within Track, that same project shows a ‘Time Status’ of 0 h.

These issues are very frustrating and are wasting a lot of time. I’m hoping that they’re just teething problems, but if they persist I will need to cancel my subscription and find an alternative tool.

Is there anything I might be doing wrong?

Thanks

@HannahW I’d like to have our team look into this for you and we will need some account-specific info to do that so I’ll DM you now and we can go from there.

I’m having the same issue. Ive been on Toggl for a year trusting that the hours are syncing properly and as I can see that theyre way out of sync from 2 days ago, it makes me wonder how many billable hours Ive missed because of this in previous months. If i have to keep double checking time entries it make Toggl 100% useless to me.

@allanswart29 If you’re talking about the progress bar in the Project dashboard or on the overall Projects page, it’s just a quick way to see how much time you’ve spent on a project. But don’t worry, the timetracking data is accurate, and your reports should have the right hours in them.

The team is working on the progress bar issue and an update will follow soon
