Toggl Browser Extension – Start/Stop Timer Icon No Longer Appearing in Jira Issues

The Toggl Track browser extension is no longer displaying its start/stop timer icon within Jira issue views. Previously, when viewing a Jira ticket, a Toggl icon would appear. Clicking this icon would start a time recording and automatically populate the entry with the ticket summary and Jira issue key.

Expected behaviour: A Toggl start/stop timer button is visible on Jira issue pages. Clicking it creates a Toggl time entry pre-populated with the issue summary and issue key.

Actual behaviour: The Toggl icon is not visible anywhere on Jira issue pages. No in-page integration is available; the only way to start a timer is manually via the Toggl extension popup or the web/desktop app, which does not auto-populate ticket details.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Ensure the Toggl Track browser extension is installed and logged in.

  2. Confirm the atlassian.net integration is enabled in the extension’s settings and additional permissions have been granted (per the setup guide).

  3. Navigate to any Jira issue.

  4. Observe that the Toggl start/stop icon is missing from the issue view.

Environment:

  • Browser & version: Edge Version 148.0.3967.70 (Official build) (64-bit)

  • Toggl Track extension version: Version 4.5.1

  • OS: Windows 11

As in this request Toggl Track timer button no longer showing up in Jira sidebar… Please release this for Edge and not just Chrome.
