Toggl Focus Time off, Working hours, and Public holidays

This guide will walk you through setting your time off, working hours, and understanding how public holidays are displayed on your calendar.

Managing Time Off

Adding your time off to the calendar helps your team see when you are unavailable. This makes it faster and easier for everyone to make time-blocking decisions.

How to Add Time Off

  1. Navigate to Profile Settings.

  2. Scroll down to the Availability section and select Time Off.

  3. Select the start and end dates for your time away.

  4. Click Save. Your time off will now be displayed on the calendar.

How to Delete Time Off

  • To remove a time off entry, simply click on the three-dot menu (…) next to it and select the delete option.

Setting Your Working Times

Defining your working times provides important context for scheduling and helps manage expectations around your availability. In the future, this will also help in tracking overtime. These hours can be set by you or your manager.

How to Set Your Working Times

  1. Navigate to Profile Settings.

  2. Scroll down to the Availability section and select Working times.

  3. Choose one of the following options:

    • No schedule: Removes any working time restrictions.

    • Standard 8-hour schedule: Applies a preset 8-hour workday.

    • Custom schedule: Allows you to define your own unique hours for each day.

  4. You can also choose to add a daily break to your schedule.

Once set, your non-working hours will appear greyed out on your calendar.

How to Turn Off Working Times

  • To switch this feature off, navigate back to the Working times settings and choose the “No schedule” option.

Understanding Public Holidays

Public holidays are automatically displayed on your calendar based on your location, which is determined by your IP address.

  • How it works: If you change the country you are working from, the public holidays shown on your calendar will automatically update to reflect your new location.

  • Please Note: Improvements to allow for more customization of public holidays are already planned for a future update.
