Please add a feature to collapse the entire “header” of the software (everything above the bar with the day and running total). I use Toggl in a reduced window on one side of my monitor. It takes up about one-fifth of the monitor which is just enough space to see my schedule in Day View and add entries. The header takes up about two-fifths of this space. I would like to be able to collapse it, as other software/apps allow so I get the full screen for just calendar space.
That’s a great idea for improving the interface when using Toggl in a reduced window. Unfortunately, the ability to collapse the header is not currently available in Toggl Track. This would give you more screen space for your calendar and time entries when working in a smaller window layout.
Since this is something you’d like to see added to the product, the product team would benefit from knowing about this request and how it would improve your workflow.
I am not sure if this Support Message
“Since this is something you’d like to see added to the product, the product team would benefit from knowing about this request and how it would improve your workflow.”
…is for me to respond to, but I’ll go ahead and provide some details about the benefit of this prospective feature. I manage a number of projects and activities, and I track my work on all of them. I use three monitors because most tasks require me to look at two or more items at one time. Therefore, screen real estate is limited, even with three monitors. While I can work on one activity for an hour or longer before switching, my workday involves periods of frequent interruptions and task switching. During these times, the time ruler on Toggl Track is increased (zoomed in) to the 5-minute increment level. For this reason, I value having Toggl Track open and accessible to me throughout the workday, rather than visiting it on occasion or relying exclusively on the Chrome browser extension or the integration I use with my project management software (now Wrike, previously Asana).
In the end, this is a personal strategy and may not apply to many others. It is not a need-to-have feature, but it would be nice to have.
