Unsynced data lost

Hi, I need help recovering unsynced local time entries from the desktop app.

I was using toggl offline for around 4 months because my internet/proxy setup was broken. During that time I continued tracking normally in the desktop app.

When my internet connection finally worked again, the app asked me to log in again. After logging in, many of my unsynced local entries disappeared.

Is there any way to recover unsynced local entries?

I understand how frustrating that must be. Unfortunately, once unsynced local entries are lost from the desktop app, they cannot be recovered. When you logged in again after regaining your internet connection, those entries were not synced to Toggl’s servers before being cleared from your local data.

To prevent this from happening in the future, it’s important to check for unsynced entries before taking any actions like logging out, reinstalling the app, or clearing local data. The desktop app will show you if you have any unsynced time entries, and you should wait for them to sync before making any changes to your account or device.

If you have backup files or remember details about the entries you lost, you could manually recreate them in Toggl by entering the time entries again with the correct dates, times, and project information.
