Hello, I am new here and with Toggl track too.
I would like to have a time entry that corresponds to several projects.
Is it possible to do this? Unless I am mistaken, I do not see the information anywhere.
Context:
I have a large project, which includes several small projects.
I would like to track the time of this large project as a whole, but also each sub-project individually.
Thank you for your help
Hi Mitsu
I always use the clients as the level for projects. So, every project is a client. Here are a few examples of clients:
Company A _ SAP GTS Implementation
Company A _ Optimizing SAP TMS, plant @New Orleans)
Company B _ Pre-order phase
I use the projects for the “smaller projects” or, better said, “main tasks.” In my world, a main task is a Jira ticket for defining, coding, testing, and delivering IT functionality.
If I need more layers for work planning and progress/budget control, I add tasks to a “project”.
I do not use the invoicing function, so I do not know if my method of doing it would also work for you.
Thank you for your answer and the trick, I’ll see if it could suit me (even if I would have to update everything that is already done)
For invoicing, I don’t use it either, it’s for my own Patreon projects, I am a content creator, and alone.
