Multiple Clients for a Project

I run a small sales agency. My team and I visit multiple clients, most of whom are part of a larger group. For the sake of simplicity, let’s say there are 5 groups, each of which has 100 stores. Let’s call the groups A, B, C, D and E.

I would like to track how much time my team and I are spending as a percentage on each group. It’s also important we track how much time we are spending on a certain store within that group.

Can I set up a project in Toggle for each group that has each of their stores as a client (i.e. have multiple clients within each project)?

Or am I best off setting up every store of each group as a separate client? If I set it up that way, how can I see how much time I’m spending in say the New York store of Group A as a percentage of time spent with Group A. At the same time, I also need to see how much time we’re spending with Group A overall.

Hope that makes sense and I hope there’s a solution. Thanks in advance for your help and ideas.

Hi Andrew!
The Toggl Track data structure allows you to set a Client > Project > Task (paid plans). Given you want to track how much time you spend by Group and then individual store, it would make sense to set the Groups up as Clients, and the Stores as Projects in them.

You could also do this:
Group: Group A/B etc
Project: Client (if you wan to separate the clients within the groups)
Task: Store

This second option requires a paid plan.

Regardless of the way you set this up, you can then run Analytics reports grouped by Client/Project/Task and see time spent at each level easily.

Do let us know if you have any follow up questions

Thanks Nida. I appreciate your help.
