Focus Tasks

This is the place where you can create all of your tasks, in a similar way you’d do them on a regular to-do list on paper, or in any other app.

To create a task, click on the Add task button

This opens the task modal where

  • you can add task name, project, priority, time estimate and deadline
  • you can also pin the task, so it appears on top in Inbox and Calendar view
  • add subtasks (and subtasks for subtasks)

You can also import tasks with AI creating a list of tasks for you if you feel adventurous:

  • if you’re already using a planner, just take a screenshot of all ongoing tasks, add the screenshots to the importer and you should be good to go!
  • if you’d like the importer to break down a task for you, you can just use a prompt

Hi is it possible to connect Toggl Track with Toggl Focus? same way as it is with Toggl Plan, → you know to see your Projects from Toggl Track in Toggl Focus? it is time consuming to put task and time entries twice.

I agree with this, it’s time consuming and at risk of errors to recreate the projects.

Yes, Toggl Focus has a great UI and its usability is radical!

But at this time is useless without an integration with Toggl Track.

Agree with everyone here! Would love to start using Focus, seems great, but useless without the project sync with Track.

Hello from Focus team! Thank you all for feedback, it’s super valuable. I have a question: Would you need to just import your tasks to Focus and then track time there or would you track time in Focus after your data is set up and ready to go?

What we need is that every track log that we track in Focus is automatically sent to Toggl Track (or we could manually do it by clicking a button).

But we need the information from Focus to appear in Track for reporting purposes.

Like if Focus was a client of Track.

Came here to find the same what my thoughts are. Is an integration into Track planned or are those separate products? It’s a very essential question and I think in the two announcement emails I could not tell. In my first test, I could not see it as I must create new projects

@markus @aebs90

These are separate products that can be used as standalone tools starting out. While I can’t talk about future plans as things may change, I am happy to share that reporting is coming to Focus soon. It won’t be as sophisticated as Track reporting in the beginning, but we are moving fast with Focus and should better meet your needs in the near future.

Hi my Idea was the same functionality as is in the Toggl Plan, that connection with Toggl Track works quite well (or fine  )
so i was asking exactly on the same syncronisation as is between Toggl Plan and Toggl Track

@Michal, I think you will find that we will be able to meet (dare I say exceed) your expectations soon. While we are moving fast, we are not skipping steps, so it might take us a bit to get to advanced stuff with Focus, but, rest assured it will set new standards in the productivity space
