Please Revert the Windows Mini Timer

Hey Benjamin, that would be a no from us, we don’t offer a link to download the older version :hugs:

Thanks, @ATP, for sharing! I am collecting all your feedback on the mini timer and sharing it with our product team in my strongest keyboard voice! :loudspeaker::keyboard: :toggl-muscle:

Hi Marie, I hope all is well! I was wondering if Mac has anything like the mini timer? From what I’ve seen after switching from windows, it’s much much bigger in the “mini” timer mode. Is there a way to make it smaller, it’s distracting, and I can’t resize it smaller. Thanks!

Yes, please revert the mini timer’s design back to what it was. :folded_hands:

The new timer is very chonky and obtrusive in my workspace. It’s bad enough to the point that I have to disable it if I want to open multiple applications.

Hi, @Marie. Is there an update by any chance? Does the team agree with the feedback?

I would like to add that the option to edit the description directly from the mini-timer is great and I hope it will remain. But please revert the rest of the design (mainly the ability to easily see what project is being tracked).

Hey :waving_hand:

Thank you again for continuing to share your feedback on the mini-timer — I really appreciate all the thoughtful comments and the time you’ve taken to explain how the changes are impacting your workflow.

I don’t have any updates to share just yet, but please know that I’ve been diligently passing everything along to our product team — and I’ve just added this latest note as well. Your input is being heard and is incredibly valuable in helping guide future decisions.

Thanks again for being so engaged and open with your thoughts — it truly helps us make better decisions. :toggl-heart2:

Bump.

Any updates on this?

Hello! No updates at the moment, but if there are any we’ll be sure to share them here. Thank you!

Hi Toggl team! May I ask to return the previous design of mini timer once again please?

It was so good. I could see on the small strip both time entry description AND the project. It was compact and functional. Without this unnecessary 3 dots to the right.

Now it’s a nightmare. To make it both description and the project visible I have to make it half screen long. Also, I cannot drag it from the left side to change the width, only from the right side. Overall, I keep dreaming of old good timer almost every day. I have a paid plan.

Please :folded_hands:t2:

We can share this with the team  Thank you!

One more month’s passed.

Could you check developers’ task list / backlog please ?

Is it even planned?

Hey Anton!
Our team is actively working on mini-timer improvements and some of them will be in the next release. Thanks for your patience!

@Anton Great news! The mini timer update is out with the most recent version of the desktop app  Let us know what you think

I think it’s awesome. I love it so far. It was worth waiting 10 month for.

During this period I switched to TickTick’s native time tracker. It’s kind of ok, but has some limitations. Happy to switch back to Toggl.

Hi, thank you so much for making it smaller!
However, I’m wondering if there is a way to completely revert back to the mini-timer design from last year.

Right now, the timer is smaller, sure, but it still has the same annoying “always active” text field, and I can not make it smaller horizontally without hitting an arbitrary margin and losing out on important info like the current project and tags.

I think if we make it so the text field on top the same length as the project+tags section on bottom, and disable it’s “always active” function, we will be golden!

Hi there! Thanks for the feedback, I’ll share it with our team.
