Toggl 2.0 Windows desktop app desperately needs a floating timer

Toggl 2.0 Windows desktop app desperately needs a floating timer.

Remember Toggl Track desktop app? It has a mini-timer that you can use anywhere on the screen! This is so crucial to Toggl!!! We need to actively look at the time and see how much time has elapsed!

I need it! I need to see it. Please refer to Sunsama as their floating timer is likely the best in the industry.

Also, we need to be able to pause the stopwatch on a task, then come back to pick up where we are left.

Plus, “autotrack” function does not display “description” and only displays the project it’s in or the task it’s in. Very inconvenient. Please display the “description” because I use it as the title for autotrack timer.

Thank you

I have just updated to Toggl 2.0 Version 1.6.1, and I just fail to see how “always on top” helps the floating timer problem. If I keep the Toggl 2.0 window always on top, it serves no purpose other than taking up a huge chunk of screen real estate, not to mention Toggl 2.0 can’t be shrunk to a very small window. (It can be shrunk to 1/4 of its size and can’t be shrunk any further.) I mean if Toggl’s effort is making Toggl 2.0 their main development route I think a floating timer is simply needed. Please consider this. Thank you.

Since Toggl has basically disabled the download for Toggl Track Windows desktop client. I think the floating timer is a must now. I cannot download Toggl Track Windows desktop client on Free Windows Time Tracker | Toggl

It just gives you Toggl 2.0 Windows desktop client.

I think Toggl is pushing full-force on Toggl 2.0. So please, give us a floating timer. Thank you.

Check out Sunsama’s Focus Bar floating timer, something similar to this is enough.

Also, their floating timer is likely the best so far I’ve tested in the productivity niche.
