"Project" missing from time entries late May 2024-late Oct 2025

Post Title: My “projects” are missing from clocked time slots for approx 17-months

Your Question/Topic: I use the droid app exclusively to track different projects at work; my overall time for the day is logged into my corporate time sheet. I sought out Toggl so I could easily identify what I worked on when, but I’ve never circled back to see the accrued time for each project until today.

I need to report the time spent on a specific project from 7/1/205-12/31/2025, but when I went to do a report for just that project, it only included the last 10 or so weeks of 2025.

Downloading the .csv for all of 2023, 2024, and 2025, I discovered that none of my time entries from late-May 2024 through late-Oct 2025 have the Project identified. Is there any way to restore the information?

Gratitude for any assistance or suggestions.

I understand how frustrating that must be, especially when you need to report on that project data. Unfortunately, based on the information available, there isn’t a way to restore project information that’s missing from past time entries in Toggl.

Here are a couple of things you can try:

First, check if those time entries might have been logged under a different project name or if the project was renamed during that period. You can view your time entries in the Toggl Track interface and filter by different projects to see if the time was captured under an alternate name.

If the project data is truly missing from those entries, you would need to manually re-enter the project assignments for the affected time entries. While this is time-consuming, it would allow you to get accurate reporting going forward.

To prevent this from happening again, double-check that the project field is being populated when you create time entries on the Android app, and verify periodically that your tracked time includes all the details you need.
