Rgent: Lost workspace and records after app update (macOS)

Hello Toggl Track Support Team,

My name is Fran, and I use Toggl Track with the email kiko23492@gmail.com

After updating the desktop app on macOS, I lost access to all my projects and time entries from the last ~4 years. I suspect I may have accidentally deleted my workspace during the process, because when I log in now I only see an empty workspace.

Details:

  • System: macOS [version; e.g., 15 “Sequoia”/Tahoa]

  • Approximate date/time of incident: 29/09/2025

  • Error previously shown in the app:

    “The file ‘DatabaseModel.sqlite’ couldn’t be opened.”

  • Actions taken: force quit the app, deleted local DatabaseModel.sqlite, reinstalled the app, and logged in again. Since then, the workspace appears empty / is missing.

My requests:

  1. Could you please confirm whether my previous workspace was actually deleted?

  2. If it was deleted, is there any possibility of a backup/restore of that workspace with its projects and time entries?

  3. If the workspace still exists but there was a sync issue, could you please help me reconnect my account to the correct workspace or provide steps to recover it?

These records are critical for my work, and I would be very grateful for your assistance. Please let me know if you need additional information or if I should perform any specific steps.
