I run a small business. I’m in the process of rehiring a former employee who worked with me a few years ago. I tried to create a Toggl account for her, but during signup the registration page returns the following message: “Signup for this email account was not completed. Resend verification email to start signup again.”
When I click “Resend verification email,” nothing happens. No email is received at the address, and I’ve been trying since Sunday with no luck. From that point on, I’m completely blocked: I can’t create her account, and no solution is offered.
I would have liked to report the issue via chat so someone internally could fully delete this supposedly existing account and allow me to recreate it from scratch, but again, it seems completely impossible to report a bug or contact anyone about the problem.
I understand how frustrating that must be, especially when you’re trying to get a new team member set up. The message you’re seeing suggests there may be a verification email issue preventing the account creation from completing.
Here are a few things you can try:
Check the spam or junk folder for the verification email, as it sometimes gets filtered there.
Wait a bit longer before resending - occasionally there can be a delay in email delivery.
Try signing up with a slightly different email address if possible (for example, adding a middle initial or number) to see if that works around the issue.
If the former employee still has access to any old account credentials from years ago, they could try logging in with those first, as that might help recover or reactivate the old account rather than creating a new one from scratch.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be an account-level problem that needs direct investigation to clear out the incomplete signup state. This is something that would require direct help from the team to fully resolve.
Just posting here that this was resolved via DM
