Hey everyone, I’m running into a bit of a productivity roadblock and wanted to see if anyone else has a workaround for this. I use Toggl Track to keep an eye on my billable hours, especially when I’m deep into https://capcapk.com tasks for my clients. Lately, I’ve noticed that whenever my machine is under heavy load—like when I’m exporting 4K files or running background rendering—the toggl desktop app starts to lag significantly.
The main issue is that the timer sometimes “ghosts,” where it looks like it’s running, but when the system finally catches its breath, the entry hasn’t actually synced or it shows a completely different duration. It’s making my reporting a bit of a nightmare because I have to go back and manually fix entries almost every day. I’ve tried clearing the app cache and even switching to the web version, but the web tab often goes to sleep during long rendering sessions, which leads to the same sync gap.
Has anyone else noticed toggl struggling with system resource priority during intensive media work? I’m also curious if there’s a way to force the desktop client to stay “always on top” in a way that doesn’t consume as much GPU, or if there’s a specific browser extension setting that prevents the timer from timing out when the CPU is maxed out. If you’ve found a way to keep your tracking accurate while pushing your hardware to the limit, I’d really appreciate some advice!
