I just started using Toggle 2.0 today and have added a client project to it so I can share the project timeline with collaborators. Mind you, it has just under 90 tasks, but still… I’m finding SIGNIFICANT lag when I switch to Timer view both in the desktop app (MacBook Air Apple M2 running 26.6 Beta (25G5057c)) and on Firefox (JUST ran the browser update).
I did look at similar issues others have had. I’ve tried clearing my cache and relaunching the app and logging in on the browser after. I’ve also tried incognito.
When I say there’s lag, I mean that it takes at least a minute to load. When I try to add or edit an item in my plan, it takes at least 30 seconds for options to materialize. It takes long enough to make Toggl virtually unusable, which is really unfortunate because I desperately need something to help me plan my time and I’ve been an avid Toggl Track user for years.
Appreciate any help anyone can provide.
Same. Been testing toggl 2.0 since two weeks now (roughly) and it’s been great so far, but for the last 3-5 days I experience similar struggles as you do. It’s a shame, because I really enjoyed the 2.0 version. Probably gonna switch to 1.0.
Same here. I enjoy the 2.0 version very much but there are some issues still. For me the lag gets worse and worse with zoom level. And I don’t have that many projects. When I zoom out and see the whole week completely it works best but still slow.
For what it’s worth, I deleted the desktop app, did a full reboot on my computer, ensured I was logged out of my other user profile (I have a work and personal profile), cleared my cache again, restarted Firefox, and now the web experience is much improved. I don’t know which of those things made the difference, or whether time was simply needed to index the new project details, but it’s usable again and that was the goal. As I do so much in browser anyway, it’s not a huge hardship to live without the desktop app.
