Please help me to log in
I have been using toggl for years. Today I tried to log in with my usual username and password and I received the error “We couldn’t find a Toggl account with this email and password combination. Try again or Reset Password”
When I tried to Rest Password, I got a message about my account needing verification. I have no idea why this is happening. I was logged in and using it when suddenly I had been logged out.
Curiously, I can log in to the community.
Can anyone please help?

Since you’re getting an “incorrect email and password combination” error, I’d recommend using the Reset Password option. Even though you mentioned getting a verification message, that’s actually a normal part of the password reset process. Check your email (including spam/junk folders) for a password reset link and follow those instructions to set a new password.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Make sure you’re using the correct email address associated with your Toggl account
- If you have a password manager, try resetting without relying on saved credentials, as there may be a mismatch
- After resetting your password, try logging in again with your new password
If you’re using Single Sign On (SSO) to log in, the process would be different - you’d authenticate through your SSO provider instead of using an email/password combination.

This same issue happened again to me today. I had to reset my password to make it work. This is what I had to do last time before.
Why does this keep happening to me? I will be in the middle of working, my timer will be on. When I go to turn it off/switch to a new task, I am suddenly logged out, even though I have not cleared my cache or cookies and nothing I’ve done while working gives a reason for this to be happening. When I try to log in with my credentials, Toggl suddenly claims that I don’t have an account. I’ve been using this account for years.
I have the same email address and the password is unchanged. It is the correct password I’m using every time I try to log in because I have a password manager.
There is no reason for this, but it happens all the time. Can you explain why? I had to reset the password again, but it was not wrong! And I have an account.
